Charity - Fundraising Ideas for Marie Curie
It's not too late to fund raise for Marie Curie this year! Although the Great Daffodil Appeal has come and gone, you can still raise funds for the charity throughout the year. Here’s a list of fundraising ideas to get you started. This definitely isn’t an exhaustive list, so get creative!
BAKING
If you prefer to bake, Marie Curie has partnered up with celebrities like Stanley Tucci and Jane Asher to share their recipes. They have come up with everything from summer berry rose-scented meringues to red velvet cheesecake, so there is definitely something for everyone. You can see the full list of recipes here. In fact, why not hold your own tea party to showcase your baking skills? You can sign up for your own fundraising pack here for Marie Curie’s Blooming Great Tea Party.
CRAFTS
If you would rather be crafty, you can try making and selling origami or crochet daffodils. You can even share your skills with your friends by holding a creative workshop and charging an entry fee to raise money.
BE ACTIVE
Lastly, if you would prefer to be active, you can organise a charity sports game, or host a sports day and charge people to take part in the races. If you’re more at ease in the water, then why not try a swimathon.
There are also cycling, walking, or running competitions which you can join to raise funds. Make sure to let your friends know so they can donate or even fund raise with you. Don’t forget to sign up with Marie Curie so you can get your free fundraising packs, and send over your funds at the end of your event.
